This. painting. To be honest, that is really all I want to say about it. I'm very happy with the final result, but I'll be damned if it didn't take every bit of my patience to finish it. Because he is one of my favorite characters, though, I feel like I should give him a proper introduction.

Myriot is one of seven Forgotten Gods. As their title implies, they are not widely known and rarely worshiped. the only ones known to worship are the nomadic people of the Continent, and Myriot is popular with the gypsy folk.

He is god of wealth and master of illusions. The smoke which surrounds him in this image is his means of his trade, and with it, he can either cloak himself to avoid detection or better craft his illusions. His favorite "forms" are a heron or a march hare- hence the wings and feet.

As for his true appearance, he is best described as a halfling with quills instead of hair. He is most often depicted wearing fine silk robes, usually light green or blue, and he is well known for his love of being surrounded with luxury. His personality, though, is very warm and inviting, and he is said to be generous with his wealth and the most accessible of the Forgotten Gods. He is also known to favor children since he is, apparently, unable to father his own.

Gypsy caravans often refer to him as Uncle Myriot or even go so far as to name their children after him.

This, of course, makes it much easier for him to dwell among his followers, and it has been said that there are times in which he descends from heaven to walk the earth with his peoples. A claim which has yet to be confirmed.
